
MUMBAI: Actress Shirin Sewani says that summer, for her, means delicious fruits and lassi. The actress adds that she is not big on buying new clothes every season, and says that she makes sure to only buy things she needs during the summers.
“I don’t update my wardrobe every month or even with every season change. I only buy something when I like it or when I really feel like picking something up. If I see something and find it suitable for myself, I buy it. I'm a Sindhi, and I don’t believe in spending a lot of money at one go,” she says.
However, she adds that she adds a lot of things to her daily diet in order to beat the heat. “Shooting in the heat gets very tiring. I try to drink a lot of water, which I think everyone should do. Apart from that, I’m definitely a lassi girl. I need one glass of lassi daily. I’ll also share one lassi recipe that’s good for your gut and healthy too: the next time you have lassi, just add finely chopped cucumber and tomatoes, and lots of ice. It gives you fiber and tastes really nice I like it!”
Talking about her favourite foods to eat, she says, “In the summer, my go-to food is mango. I love eating mangoes and try to include them in all my meals in some way like mango shakes or mango yogurt. As for what I don’t eat, I avoid extra fried and heavy foods because I prefer to eat light in summer. But if I feel like eating something, then I don’t really consider butter naan and dal makhani heavy they’re light for me!”
