MUMBAI: Last evening Rhea Chakraborty’s interview with India Today, created a stir in the media. During this very interview, she mentioned about the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s trip to Bangkok with his six friends in the year 2018. Further revealing the actor spending Rs. 70 Lakh on it; the list included Kushal Zaveri, Siddharth Gupta, Abbas, Mushtaq and Sabir Ahmed. Now Sabir Ahmed in conversation with India Today revealed more deets about this trip and also shared why the gang had to cut short the trip.

Accompanying them on this trip was SSR’s Kedarnath co-star Sara Ali Khan; Sabir who was late actor’s boy mentioned that the trip was for the PRO team, he said, “We were seven people: Sushant, Sara Ali Khan, Siddharth Gupta, Kushal Zaveri, Abbas, Sushant's bodyguard Mushtaq and me.” Along with Sara and two staff members. “It was Sushant's trip with his PRO team, Sara Ali Khan and two staff members. It was in December 2018 and we travelled by private jet,” he added further.
Besides this, he also revealed the late actor and Sara were staying in the same hotel where his PRO team was put up. However, the duo barely went to the beach, just on the first day and the rest of the days of the trip remained in the hotel. “Only on the first day, all of us went to the beach. But later, Sushant and Sara were in the hotel for the rest of the trip, while his friends went out to explore. They stayed at a luxurious island hotel in Bangkok,” he shared further.
On being asked why the actor cut short his trip and returned to the bay, Sabir shared there were speculations of a tsunami in the country. However, he and Mushtaq stayed back due to limited flight tickets, “There were speculation of a tsunami, so they decided to return. Also adding further he mentioned the late actor paying for their extended stay in Bangkok, “We stayed in Bangkok for a month and Sushant gave us his ATM card for our expenses. Later, Samuel Hoakip transferred them money as per our need from Mumbai.”
