Namish is a very hardworking actor and I love that about him: Tina Philip

MUMBAI : 1. It is not easy to give a nod to a show. What drew you to this show?

A lot of things to be honest, the storyline was amazing. I could relate to Vidhi and her dream of becoming an IAS officer which is in direct contrast to her mother's dreams of getting her married. The production house is one of the best in the industry and I was quite excited to be on Dangal and reach out to a different audience. Our show goes on-air today and I am extremely excited about it.

2. Tell us about your role in Aye Mere Humsafar?

I play the character of Vidhi who wants to become an IAS officer. Despite her disability she is always positive and goes about doing her things. She is determined to fulfil her dreams and teaches in a school part time to pay for her studies. Vidhi is a simple, determined and fun loving girl.

3. What makes the show different from other shows?

The emotional bonding each character has with the other. You really feel for them. The writing is amazing.

4. How has your bonding with Namish Taneja been?

Namish is a very hardworking actor and I love that about him. It's rare to find such actors. He always gives his 200% and I'm glad I'm working with him. There's a lot to learn from him.

5. How has your journey been so far in the television industry?

I feel really blessed that I've been able to survive for 3 years and fulfil my dream of becoming an actor. I've also met some amazing people along the way and learnt so much from them. It's been a roller coaster ride with lots of ups and downs but I've enjoyed every bit

6. How did you spend your time during lockdown

I devoted my time to prayers one of which is answered in terms of this show. I cooked a lot and read a lot.

7. How was it being back on the set after possibly the longest break during a shoot schedule?

I've had longer breaks before but the thrill of being back on set did not let me sleep the day before my first day on set. I feel most alive and happy when I'm working and I'm so grateful for this opportunity.

8. What changes do you see in yourself post COVID?

I think as a race we've become more thoughtful, kind and compassionate and post COVID we've definitely learnt to value the little things in life

9. When not shooting, what do you do?

I enjoy playing chess, catching up with family and friends and reading

10. Do you follow a fitness regime?

Yes I love doing yoga. It helps me stay calm and balance my mind and body. Yoga heals you from the inside while improving your strength and flexibility and I definitely prefer it over gym.
