While shooting I broke down because somewhere, I have been like Rohan and called her to apologize, says Akshay Mhatre

MUMBAI: When we speak of unconditional love, it is that of a mother. Sony TV’s latest offering Indiawaali Maa emphasizes that you are never too old to need your mother, even when you have conquered the world. Starring Suchita Trivedi, Akshay Mhatre, and Nitesh Pandey as the lead characters, the viewers will witness the most endearing story of a mother set on a journey to help her son through difficult times.

Akshay Mhatre's character, Rohan is that of a carefree boy who struggles to face his problems and being non-confrontational in nature, he tries to tackle every trouble that knocks on his door and does not involve anyone and forgets that he is never too old to seek help or need his parents.

Speaking about his character Rohan, Akshay shares, “While shooting I realized, I have been like Rohan in the past and treated my mother the same way Rohan will treat Kaku and tell her to wait inside and not come in front of his friends. This sequence took me back to my past and I broke down and immediately called my mother to apologize. Mother being the mother, she happily said, let bygones be bygones and cheered me up.”

Adding further to this, she said, “It is so true that parents love knows no bounds and we can always fall back on our parents even when we are grown up. They are the biggest cheerleaders and we get the best solutions from them. Also, shooting for Indiawaali Maa is taking me back to my mom more.”

Watch Akshay Mhatre as Rohan in Indiawaali Maa from 31st August, Monday to Friday only on Sony Entertainment Television at 8:30 PM.
