Aarti Singh has no qualms playing a mother to teenage kids in Parichay

The current TV scenario is such that most of the younger actors do not want to play parents on-screen. But to our surprise Aarti Singh has no such reservations. Aarti, better known as Seema of Colors’ Parichay, will be seen as a mother to teenage kids post the eight year leap in the show. “I am totally cool about playing a mother to older kids, but yes I did have reservations on playing a bhabhi in this show after having played the lead in Thoda Hai Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai, but I still gave it a try,” said Aarti. She continued, “Initially I was a little skeptical about playing this role post the leap but then Shweta Tiwari played a grandmother to 26 year olds in Kasauti while Ankita Lokhande is playing a mother to kids of her own age in Pavitra Rishta, I don’t think I must have an issue with it,” says the actress. “It’s not like they are turning my hair grey. I will look just the way I do even after the leap,” she further went on to add. If the show takes another leap, then what happens? “I have received a lot of popularity with this show. I don’t think I will leave.” Way to go, Aarti!!!
