Deepika Padukone’s manager Karishma Prakash was summoned by the NCB after her name emerged in the alleged drug chats. Now, a report on the Internet states that she may be unable to appear for NCB interrogation as she is in Goa with Deepika for the shoot of Shakun Batra's film

MUMBAI: The SSR case have taken a new form of drug case now, A few days ago, Deepika Padukone and her manager Karishma Prakash’s alleged WhatsApp chats talking about 'maal', hash and weed surfaced, after which it was being reported that the actress will be summoned soon by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for interrogation. Karishma Prakash was summoned by the NCB for questioning, however, Times Now reported that Karishma sought an exemption citing health issues. Now, a report on the Internet states that she is in Goa with Deepika and Karan Johar for the shoot of Shakun Batra’s film.

As per sources, Karishma Prakash may be unable to appear before the NCB for questioning as she is in Goa with Deepika, for the shoot of Shakun Batra’s film, which is produced by Karan Johar. Deepika Padukone had dashed off to Goa with Siddhant Chaturvedi for her film and the film’s shoot began this week. The actress had also shared pictures from her Goa weekend, on social media.  Last week, Karan Johar was also snapped travelling to Goa with his mother Hiroo Johar and kids Roohi and Yash and it was being reported that he had jetted off to Goa for professional reasons. 

Meanwhile, Times Now reported that Karishma’s lawyers procured exemption from the NCB citing their client is unwell and that she would join the probe later. According to Times Now, she will likely be joining the probe on September 25. 

In other news, Times Now had also reported that Rhea’s talent manager Jaya Saha named Bollywood producer Madhu Mantena in the drugs case, and that he may be summoned by the NCB on Wednesday.
