MUMBAI: Longest running fil of Bollywood, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge will mark 25 years of its release on October 20, 2020, released in 1995, the film is all set to set for yet another milestone. Just to remind you when the film marked 20 years of its release, film’s lead Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol celebrated that moment at Maratha Mandir theatre, Mumbai by hosting an event. And now it is all set for its silver jubilee when SRK and Kajol’s bronze statues are set to installed at one of the most iconic spots in London.
Kajol and SRK’s bronze statues will be unveiled at Leicester Square on London in the Scenes in the Square, it is said it will be one of the iconic scenes from the movie. Mark Williams, destination marketing director of Heart of London Business Alliance in conversation with Mid Day, spoke about DDLJ being one of the most successful and loved Hindi flick and hence this move to have a statue representing it will be a perfect tribute to it.

Mark Williams said, "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge is one of the most successful Hindi films of all time, and this statue is a fitting tribute to the global popularity of Bollywood." A big congratulations to the team.
Starring Anupam Kher, Farida Jalal, Parmeeti Sethi, Karan Johar, Himani Shivpuri, Satish Shah, Mandira Bedi and late actors Amrish Puri and Achala Sachdev, they all still have a special place in the audience’s hearts.
In the 43rd National Film Awards, the film was awarded as Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
