MUMBAI: After a good run of three years, Tenali Rama will soon go off-air and will air its last on 13 November.

We contacted actor Pankaj Berry who played the pivotal role of Tathacharya in the show and his experience shooting with the team.

Pankaj averred, “Tenali Rama 32 years I have shot for television shows and have done films too but there are some projects which come very close to our heart and one of them is Tenali Rama. I played the character of Tathacharya, Rama’s rival and it had different layers to the character. My experience has been pleasurable shooting for the show and the team. I believe my character will be remembered forever not only by me but also the avid fans of the show.”

Since Pankaj has even cross dressed for a couple of sequences, we asked him if he is comfortable playing such characters. He said, “I have played a eunuch too in the past and no, I have absolutely no problems in playing characters which require me to cross dress.”

Well said Pankaj! (Also Read: Sab TV’s Tenali Rama all set to plug-off from further television streaming from next month )
