MUMBAI: Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani starrer, earlier known as Laxmmi Bomb and now as Laxmii, is the talk of the town. The moment the trailer was released, fans couldn't stop gushing over the film. Akshay broke his stereotype image and shed his Khiladi avatar by slipping into the transgender character. Movies buffs are awestruck to see him donning a saree and swaying like it is a no big deal. Even though there was a section of people who want to boycott this film, there are many who have expressed their anticipation over it. As the release date of Laxmii is nearing, the makers are now adding some tadka to this over-excitement by sharing a few promos from the film.
Having said that, Akshay shared a small promo of Laxmii where he is seen taking all the red sarees for himself so that he can drape it on. In the promo, Akshay gets into the role of Laxmii and collects the sarees for himself. However, the transition from a man to transgender is spellbinding. Sharing the video on his Instagram, he captioned it as, "Excuse me? All eyes here. Aa rahi hai Laxmii iss Diwali aapke ghar ek anokhe andaaz mein."

Talking about if Laxmii will have a sequel, producer Tusshar Kapoor said to Zoom, "Yes of course. I don't know now. That depends on the response to the film. If you guys watch it and make it a blockbuster, we will definitely come back. Whether it is a prequel or a sequel, I don't know but we will come back.”
Laxmii is an official remake of Kanchana which was originally played by Raghavan Lawrence. Akshay and Kiara starrer is also helmed by Raghavan. The film is said to be released on Disney+ Hotstar on November 9.
