Bollywood drug cartel case: Bombay High court to give verdict on Deepika Padukone’s ex manger’s Karishma Prakash’s anticipatory bail plea

Deepika Padukone's ex-manager applies for a bail plea

MUMBAI: While investigating the SSR case, the ED had retrieved chats from Rhea’s phone where she was speaking to Kwan employees about consuming and procuring drugs. Thus, the NCB had come into the picture.

It all began with Jaya Saya’s name, which then led to Karishma Prakash (Deepika Padukone’s manager) and Deepika's names.

The NCB had interrogated both Deepika and her manager under the NDPS act of consuming and procuring drugs. The Piku actress back then denied consuming drugs and having any connection with any narcotics substance.

The Bombay High Court is likely to pronounce its verdict on the anticipatory bail plea filed by Deepika Padukone's ex-manager Karishma Prakash.

As per the Times of India, the bail plea will be heard today. She was interrogated by the NCB for her alleged connections with drug peddlers and Bollywood celebrities which came into the picture while investigating the SSR case.

Earlier, NCB had told the court that they will not take any action against Karishma till November 7th as she was fearing arrest by the NCB when she was summoned by then, owing to that she filed an anticipatory bail plea.

As per media reports, Prakash was summoned again after the central agency allegedly seized 1.7 gm of hashish during a search at her residence last month.

Deepika has been summoned one once and recently Kwan released a statement stating that Karishma has no connection with the company and Deepika anymore and told the press to be careful when they are reporting about the same.
