MUMBAI: Zee TV's Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye has always kept the audience on the edge of their seats through its engaging, intriguing, and dramatic storyline. And yet again the storyline takes an interesting turn as Ravish Desai is all set to enter the show as Shubh Kadam, Amruta’s (Sriti Jha) ex-fiance. Making a television comeback after 8 years. Ravish is all set to play the role of Shubh, a hardworking and polite entrepreneur hailing from a traditional Maharashtrian family. He runs his own event management company and is shaped by conservative beliefs where men are the ultimate decision-makers and women are expected to conform.
This mindset led to a pivotal moment in Shubh’s life when he objected to his then-fiancée, Amruta, prioritising her family over moving abroad with him. Her decision to stand her ground resulted in Shubh walking away and marrying someone else—only to face a failed marriage and a life filled with regret. He has come back to Mumbai not only to expand his business but to make amends with Amruta and win her over with Vandana’s (Preeti Amin) help.
Ravish said, “Shubh is a very different kind of character from what I have played before in my career. He’s a man who believes men are the only decision makers, and women have no say and should be expected to follow what men decide. So, playing the role of Shubh will be very interesting for me. Television has always been an integral part of my journey, there is so much I owe to Hindi television I feel. Whatever I have learnt till date and wherever I am today is because of television. I’ve missed the daily connection with the audience, and I couldn’t have asked for a better show than Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye for my return. My last show, 8 years back was on Zee TV and today again I am starting from here, it feels surreal and very special. It definitely is like a homecoming for me.”
He added, “The cast and crew have been so warm and welcoming, and it’s a joy to work with such talented co-stars. I have known Arjit and Sriti before this show, it is a small world after all. It always feels good to have people you know around. I’m excited for the viewers to watch Shubh’s story unfold, it’s a rollercoaster of emotions, and I think they’ll love it.”
