Samir Soni, better known as Kunal of Parichay on Colors, usually ends up having a good lot of discussions with one person that sometimes break into fights. That person is no one else other than producer Ekta Kapoor. Samir has known Ekta for a while now, as she is one of the closest friends of his wife Neelam. However, he cannot help but have creative differences with her. Ask him about his relationship with Ekta to which he says, “I love her, she is a sweetheart. But then, we both indulge in a lot of fights but at the end of it all, I give in and make up with her.” Ask him what are their fights they indulge in, all about and he replies, “They are creative fights. We are both very passionate about our work. But then I am very logical about things. Hence, I argue on things that are not logical and in return she explains me that at the end emotions win over logic. But to put things straight, I retort by saying that things have to be logical, emotional and reasonable.” But, who wins at the end of the day, we ask. “At the end of the day, she wins as she is the boss,” admits the actor. Is she around for discussions? “No, most of the time, she is not, but then I do not give up easily. I keep calling her and at times when she does not answer my calls, I call aunty (Shobha Kapoor). You can say that I try reaching her by all means.” In spite of all the fights, Samir shares a very emotional relationship with Ekta, as he avers, “I do not hangout with her, but we do catch up on certain occasions. And when we meet, no matter how angry I am with her, I can’t help but melt down. She is like a kid sister to me and she calls me jiju. In fact before my marriage, I used to call her a brat.” Now that’s really sweet!!!
