Judges use veto power; Isha makes it to the semi-final round in Jhalak

Isha Sharvani and Salman Yusuff Khan
When they dance… everyone watches in stunned silence. Yes, we are talking about dance partners Isha Sharvani and Salman Yusuff Khan in Colors’ Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (BBC Worldwide Entertainment). No wonder they have put up some awesome performances… but they have also hurt themselves in the process. Both Salman and Isha skipped performances due to their respective ailments. Salman was down with neck spasm whereas Isha met with an accident during one of her dance acts and fractured her elbow. Now we have learnt that Isha will not be seen performing in this week’s episode to air this Saturday (15 September). The episode has already been shot on Tuesday (11 September). Last week too…Isha did not take to the dais. Her choreographer Salman did put in a solo performance. However… the judges could not give him scores as Isha was out of action. Hence…the jodis fate was dependent on audience vote. As we all know Isha has not been immensely lucky when it comes to the voting business. There were also speculations about her being out of the show. But lady luck is smiling ear to ear on her. Our sources have informed that judges (Karan Johar, Madhuri Dixit and Remo Dsouza) used their veto power and decided to take Isha forward to the semi-final round to air next week. So Isha has made it to the next round in spite of not putting up a performance last week and this one. And yes audience voting has been closed only for Isha. Reason? Judges feel she deserves to be there based on her previous awesome dance acts. Well…many can’t doubt that but we wonder what would be the feelings of the remaining contestants. So the pretty dancer will shake her booty again in the semi finals. We tried getting in touch with Salman and Isha but they remained unavailable. We will try to connect again.
