Hence, on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi we got in touch with some of your favourite TV celebs to know about their fondest childhood memories during this festival. Talking about her childhood memory Yashashri Masurkar said, “I used to visit all the local Ganpati pandals with my gang of girls after school. It used to be fun hanging out with them.” Swapnil Joshi, who is currently seen in Golmaal Hai Bhai Sab Golmaal Hai, stated, “I was born and brought up next to Girgaon which is considered to be the capital of Ganesh Chaturthi. Hence Ganpati celebration has been a part and parcel of my life. In fact, as a kid I used to love decorating the murti. And even today I don’t forget to remove two days out of my working schedule for Ganesh ji.” “My family had shifted to Mumbai when I was eight. And I remember it was Ganesh Chaturthi then and people were carrying the idol till the pandal. And in the process they were dancing. I fell in love with the festival that very minute as I enjoy dancing. In fact, even then I was dancing in my balcony (laughs),” said Soumya Seth. Jay Soni on the other hand said, “As a kid I used to go to every pandal. I always wanted to see all the idols around us and since I was a kid I would drag others along.” “While I was in college, I spent 5 years in Pune. There I enjoyed the festival to the fullest. I used to move out with my friends at nights and get back in the morning. Throughout the night we would visit pandals and buy things in the fair around it which included things like glowing balls and sticks. It was kiddish but we enjoyed it,” ended Aditya Redij.
