MUMBAI: Shilpa Shinde is a popular Hindi television actress.
Popularly known as 'Angoori Bhabi' for portraying the said character in one of the most hilarious Hindi TV soaps Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai alongside co-stars Aasif Sheikh, Saumya Tandon and Rohitash Gaud, this show was the actress' 'claim-to-fame' project.
Born and brought up in Mumbai, she stepped into the industry in the year 1999 but achieved limelight for her negative character's portrayal in Star Plus' soap Bhabi.
However, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai was her breakthrough show which helped garner massive attention for the actress, leading to the formation of her immense fanbase today.
Post-entering into controversies with the show's makers, Shinde left the show and joined Bigg Boss 11 as a contestant, only to turn-out as the reality show's 11th champion. Her fans' excitement on her victory knew no bounds as her indoor stints in the reality show were highly acclaimed.
Lately, she was a cast member of the comedy show named Gangs of Filmistaan that broadcasts on Star Bharat and on OTT platform Disney+Hotstar.
In the near future, Shinde is all set to debut in a periodic-thriller drama named Paurushpur alongside others and Shaheer Sheikh as it's male lead.
