MUMBAI: Actor Manasvi Vashist, who plays the role of Aryan in Mamta and Yash Patnaik’s show Ishq Mein Marjawan 2, says that the team was hoping that the show will be accepted by the audience. The show started right after the lockdown and the team wasn’t sure how the audience would react to it. “The audience needs something different than a typical saas-bahu drama. But we all had our fingers crossed as nobody knew how would the audience respond to the show post the lockdown. Fortunately, the show received immense love,” says the actor, adding, “Without a doubt, the audience’s expectations were very high. And I am sure the show met their expectations.”
Talking about his character, he says, “Aryan is a spoiled brat. The best thing about Aryan is that he always does what he feels is right and he never forgets his enemies.” Manasvi says that the first season of the show was a super-duper hit and this put some pressure on the cast for the second season too. “Certainly, there were apprehensions. There was pressure because the audience had high expectations due to the first season being a big hit,” he says. Ask him how if feels to work in the new normal, Manasvi says, “I didn’t do much during the lockdown, I would eat, workout, sleep, repeat! I am happy to get back to work and we are pretty accustomed to the new normal now. However, I miss the old normal terribly!” The actor loves working with Yash and Patnaik. “It's been a great experience so far. I am very glad to have started my acting career with Beyond Dreams,” he says.
