Archana’s father replaced in Pavitra Rishta

Veteran actor Ajay Rohila has been replaced by actor Kishori Govind Mahabole in Pavitra Rishta. He is the one of many replacements on Balaji shows. Beginning with Amarr Upadhyaya being replaced by Ronit Roy in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and then Gautami Gadgil stepping in as Tulsi in Smriti Iraani’s place, the list goes on. In recent times Uday Tikekar who was playing Puja Bose’s father in Tujh Sang Preet Lagayi Sajana was replaced by actor Sudhir Pandey. Ajay Rohila said, “I have had some minor issues with the production house which I communicated to them. I am certain that they could have been sorted out amicably but I don’t know what transpired later and I was informed on Saturday that I would be replaced.” Veteran actor Ajay Rohila has worked with the likes of Shekhar Kapur, Ketan Mehta, Prakash Jha and Aziz Mirza. He has been a part of critically acclaimed movies like Bandit Queen, The Warrior, Satta, Supari,Dr.Ambedkar,MangalPanday. “Having worked with such incredible directors and producers I don’t think one can question my acting calibre. If the replacement is based on production issues then I am no authority to ask them anything. It’s their baby and they have every right to do whatever they wish to. But I don’t know the exact reason behind the development,” says the actor. A source from the production house informs, “With due respect to Mr.Rohila,he didn’t look like a Marathi and thus didn’t fit the bill. In addition to this his attitude towards the portrayal character wasn’t too convincing.”
