Arun Govil as Ram is something that will be etched in the memories of fans of the epic series Ramayan!! With Moti Sagar Productions bringing Ramayan back to our living rooms, comparisons were bound to happen between Arun Govil and Gagan Malik who presently essays the role of Ram in Ramayan, aired on Zee TV. In a recent interview, Gagan had shared a compliment that he received saying, “I am told that I look a lot like Arun Govilji.” For the uninitiated, while Arun Govil was the first ever Ram, Gurmeet Choudhary who recently went on to win Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 5 on Colors played Ram when it was remade. However, the above-mentioned statement of Gagan did not go down well with the fans of Gurmeet (they felt Gagan meant to cold shoulder Gurmeet). And Gagan started to get hate mails from fans. And now Gagan has taken it upon himself to apologize to Gurmeet’s fans. Want to know how? In a chat with Tellychakkar.com Gagan said, “I just shared a happy moment with the media but I did not know that the audience would take it otherwise.” After a little pause he added, “I did not mean to hurt anyone and if I did I apologise. Gurmeet is a very good actor and a very good human being. I respect him a lot while Arunji is a cult figure. So the statement I made in an interview did not mean any harm to anyone.” We hope Gurmeet fans are reading this!
