Here is how actress Sarah Jane Dias’s father reacted on her link-up rumours with Virat Kohli surfaced, the actress revealed

In an interaction with the media, actress Sarah Jane Dias spoke about the weirdest rumour she has heard about herself. Here's what she said.

MUMBAI: The Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum actress Sarah Jane Dias, will be next seen in Ali Abbas Zafar's directorial web series Tandav. The web show is all set to release on January 15, 2021. And Sarah feels that Tandav will be a turning point in her career. In an interview with the leading media portal, the actress quoted, "Tandav is going to be a turning point in my career on January 15. Because the avatar of my character is something I have never done before. I cannot explain it in words to you."

She continued saying, "I am still in shock that I have played this character, have acted under Ali Abbas Zafar, worked with Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Sunil Grover, Tigmanshu Dhulia. I myself cannot wait to watch it. Also, it is coming on Amazon Prime Video. It is not some random OTT platform, it is a huge one."

The actress further shared the challenges she has faced in her decade long career. "Personally, my challenges have been that people perceived me very westernized because of my name, the way I speak. And I think that perception has finally changed. Because after I won Miss India, people wondered if I could act or not, because as I am a model. Then I got a tag of a VJ and I had to change that as well. So, there have been challenges, but I think I was sure that I don't care what I do but I want to be on a set."

Sarah went on to add, "I had to face the same kind of struggles that others go through. The insecurities that we have, the doubts we have, they first begin with yourself and then others start putting them into you by saying that you need to look like this or that, you need to wear certain kind of clothes and so on. The biggest challenge is the doubts that we have within ourselves."

She also revealed the advice that her friend Aurunoday Singh gave her. "My really good friend Arunoday Singh, who is also an actor, once told me Sarah it is the one stick around that is needed. And I stuck around whether it was difficult or not. Because I am sure you must have had hardships in your career as well as everyone has. But of course, our hardships are pronounced and people get to read about our failures. It is a little bit public when you succeed or fail."

Before concluding the chat with Sarah, we asked the actress about weirdest rumour she has heard about herself. And pat came her answer, "That I was dating Virat Kohli. I have even met him in person. We haven't been in the same room. It is really funny. I know Anushka (Sharma) and have met her a couple of times. But I have never met Virat and we haven't even stayed in the same building. I don't even know where this rumour came from but that is the weirdest rumour I have heard. My father had called me when the rumour had come because he is a very big cricket fan, he was like are you dating Virat Kohli? And I was like are you mad or what? Anyway, that's the weirdest rumour about me."
