MUMBAI: Actor-producer Rohit Choudhary, who will soon be seen in the Marathi movie "Aamdar Nivas", turned a year older on January 19. And this year he is going to gift himself the gift of giving. He shared, "I am not gifting anything materialistic to myself, instead I will be giving food to those in need."
"I have asked my help to prepare food for around 100-150 people and I will distribute it myself amongst the ones who struggle to get even one meal. This will be the best gift anyone can ever gift themselves, nothing is bigger than an act of charity and this will be the most satisfying gift I have ever gifted to myself," he added.
His sons, Vikrant and Sunny, had planned a surprise birthday party for him on January 18 but considering the pandemic Rohit convinced them to cancel it and had a quiet celebration with his boys at midnight. He added, "They just wanted to make me happy. We will have a small get-together for my birthday, but now it will just be my sons, me, and a couple of close friends."
It's hard to believe, but Rohit is 50+ and can give a tough competition to anyone much younger than his age. He confessed that age is just a number for him and it's all in the head. He said, "It's a number game, but if you keep your body healthy, your mind and heart will also be healthy. It all depends on your thoughts. I am 50+ and I still feel like a college student. So keep your thoughts young, keep your beliefs young and you will be young forever."
Rohit also shared his birth story and said that his strong mother delivered him in the fields. He said, "My mom was in the field working and she got labour pain there. So a couple of ladies helped during my birth in the field, and she was such a strong woman that soon after my birth she brought me back home on her own."
We wish Rohit a very happy birthday.
