In a recent interaction with TellyChakkar, Dipshikkha spoke about handling motherhood and professional life.
She said, ''I can just say God has been really kind. Yes, being a single mother, handling everything was not easy but not impossible too because I didn't give up. I didn't play a victim card, I played like a warrior. 90% women are single mothers only as they only look after their kids. Fathers go out and ear but that's also a very big help. I never wanted to work while living with my children alone. But then, the situation was like that and I had to do it. I was the mother and a father too. So, I had to perform both duties. It was very tough. But I would also like to give credit to my kids too. They were very understanding and good children. God has been very kind that I have been blessed with such good kids. Every parent likes their kids. But my kids are like my parents. They have always supported me. One thing is that I have always communicated with them. I want to tell this to every parent that communication should happen both ways. I only have those two in my life and I live for them. They are my life. At the same time, I believe in myself and enjoy my life. Whatever time I get, I go out with them, I go out with my girl gang and I spend time alone also. A woman's life doesn't end after she is married. You also have to live your own life. One must need to strike a balance. I have seen my parents working.''
She said, ''So, what I was lacking, I try to give it to my children. But I haven't forgotten myself. I also love my work a lot and that's why my work loves me too. When I go home, I handle everything and when I am on the set, I forget everything for those 12 hours. In between, I keep checking on my kids. But I love to work, I immerse myself in my character. It's been 30 years since I started my career, I am here strong and steady and I can get the choice to work. I can choose my role. God has been kind, the industry has given me immense love and I have always tried to fulfill my commitment on time. I have also been a committed mother. That's why I am here and yes, I look after myself. Because if you don't look good, you don't look positive and nobody wants to see you and that's another fact. I can say, I am a juggler and I have been juggling all my life. But the result is good, so no complaints.''
