Married to beautiful Shweta Kawatra…Manav came in as a guest editor at the den of Tellychakkar.com. Talking about dimples…he shared, “Yaar…Shweta ne toh dimples dekhke hi shaadi ki thi,” he burst out laughing. Manav, who has been in the TV industry for years now, is currently part of Channel V’s The Buddy Project (Sunshine Productions). But he stayed away from the small screen space for quite some time in between. “Yes, I had a lean phase wherein I was not happy with the kind of roles I was offered. And sometime the financials did not fall into place. But I am glad that things worked out just fine with Buddy Project and I am thoroughly enjoying playing my character.” As an actor…when there was no work…did he feel a bit insecure? “Well…actors are also humans and diverse feelings do engulf us. But then, I cannot go ahead and take up anything for the sake of it. And I feel the wait was worth it.” Moving on, Manav and Shweta are now proud parents of a little angel, Zahra. “Yes, she is five months old now and she has changed my life for good altogether. The feeling of being a father is amazing and I was there with Shweta at the time of delivery and since then, my respect for her has gone up. Hats off to the mothers of this world.” So sweet…Manav. But he is an actor and so is Shweta…and being from the same profession…does ego or insecurity ever affect him or their relationship? “I will share something. When I started dating Shweta she was a bigger star and more popular than me. Back then, when I used to go to any party, the photographers used to say, ‘sab aap thora side ho jahiye’, and they went ahead clicking pictures of Shweta. It used to needle me. But later, I realised that Shweta is a far better actress than me and if she puts even half as much effort as I put in, she will touch the sky. At this point of time…we are very balanced as individuals and our relationship is very steady. May be…it also comes from the Buddhism philosophy that we follow.” After the hearty chat, Manav donned the mantle of a journalist and called up his friends from the fraternity and wrote articles on them (we shall soon upload them). All in all…we must add that Manav is a superb actor and most importantly, a wonderful human being. Tellychakkar.com wishes him, Shweta and their little angel a superbly blessed life ahead. Cheers!!!
