ALTBalaji's dramedy 'Helllo Jee' actors give us major 'Womance' goals!

MUMBAI: ALTBalaji's newly launched dramedy 'Helllo Jee' showed us 'Womance' in the best way possible. When you are in trouble, you always think of your best friend to swoop in and make your life easy. This show talks about 'Womance' as the ultimate support system and how the women protagonists help each other out! So many movies and shows explore 'Bromance' and male friendships. 'Helllo Jee' stands out for talking about female friendships and being each other's hero!

Helllo Jee depicts how women unite and find hope in each other despite facing numerous challenges. It takes us on a journey of the lead protagonist Nyra Banerjee as Anusheela Gupta, a.k.a. Angelina. She is a phone dating operator and is the glue that holds the other female protagonists together. This show is a pure depiction of female friendships and how they can achieve anything by lifting each other.

Prachi and Sonal are two women who are a part of the phone dating operation that the protagonist 'Angelina' starts along with her women friends to help fund their hopes and dreams. Sonal is obsessed with the colour of her skin and would give anything to be lighter-skinned. These kinds of things happen when society conditions you to believe in orthodox beauty standards. Lastly, Prachi plays an integral part in the love triangle that the show's protagonist, 'Angelina' is a part of.

"Being a part of Helllo Jee was so great because we see women uplift each other in a world where people wait for a chance to put women down and walk all over them. Helllo Jee gave me newfound self-confidence and made me feel accepted." - Akshaya Shetty, Actress (Sonal)

"I loved meeting and getting to know all these women from diverse backgrounds who were part of the cast of Helllo Jee. Knowing them, growing with them, accepting them, being accepted by them and learning from them is what 'Womance' is as per me" - Kashish Rai, Actress (Prachi)

Helllo Jee follows these strong, unafraid women who become unlikely friends and stop at nothing to achieve their ambitions by breaking all kinds of stereotypes and conditions in the process. It makes up for a binge-worthy dramedy.

The cast includes Nyra Banerjee, Mrinalini Tyagi, Rahul Sharma, Akshaya Shetty, Dipali Sharma, Kashish Rai, Nitin Rrao, and so many other talented artists under the direction of the fabulous Shahnawaz Sabir.
