Romit Raj on Vignharta Ganesha: I always wanted to do a mythological show, and by God's grace, I am able to play this role very well

MUMBAI: Romit Raj has been a part of the telly world for a very long time now. The actor has several hit TV shows to his credit.

Well, we all know that Romit is currently seen in Sony TV's show Vignaharta Ganesha where he is seen playing a pivotal role.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Romit and asked him to spill some beans on the same.

Speaking about his role, Romit said, ''I play the role of Shridhar who is a big devotee of Goddess Vaishnodevi. His life's ultimate goal is to meet the Goddess once. The story further reveals how after facing lots of obstacles he finally gets to meet the Goddess.”

On being asked how he prepped for the role, the actor shared, ''By God's grace, I could play this character very well. I prepared notes; I work on the tone, and being an actor I have to do this before I present myself onscreen. I shared the notes with the director. The team was very encouraging and helpful. Also, my command over Hindi is extremely powerful which was an add-on.''

Romit is completely enjoying playing the character. ''I was offered a lot of mythological shows before but I couldn't take them up as I was busy with the daily soaps. However, I would love to be a part of such mytho-drama and historical shows in the future,” he said.

Romit has a one-month long role on the show and he will be wrapping up the shoot by 15th March.

The actor has done exceptional work till now in all his shows and this one is by far the best.
