Kabir Khan approached to direct Salman Khan in Kick

If talks going around filmdom are to be believed, Ek Tha Tiger (ETT) director Kabir Khan is being seriously considered by producer Sajid Nadiadwala to direct his next Salman Khan-starrer Kick. This development comes on the heel of the super success of the Yash Raj Films’ Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif-starrer Ek Tha Tiger. It may be remembered that Shirish Kunder was the first choice to direct the Nadiadwala film but things didn’t work out. Commented a source close to Kabir, “There is a possibility that he will direct Kick for Sajid. There are many reasons for his consideration. The first being that he’s delivered a blockbuster in ETT and the second his comfort level with Salman.” Salman too feels that Kabir would be perfect for a big budget film like Kick. Sajid and Kabir are likely to meet in the coming week. After the weak response of the Akshay Kumar-Sonakshi Sinha-starrer Joker, Sajid felt that Kunder might not be able to deliver a successful film. Since Sajid wants Kick to be a smash hit, he didn’t have enough confidence in the Joker director.
