Mumbai Saga Review: This Emraan Hashmi and John Abraham Gangster thriller has nothing new to offer

This year’s other release, Mumbai Saga has hit the theatres and here is the full review of the movie

MUMBAI: Another Gangster thriller and the second Bollywood release of the year Mumbai Saga is finally has arrived, the movie faced a lot of delays due to covid and lockdown situation, there were talks that this movie my released on OTT but makers decided to release it on big screens and here is the movie, directed by Sanjay Gupta, this movie has John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi, Suniel Shetty, Kajal Aggarwal, Rohit Roy, Anjana Sukhani, Mahesh Manjrekar, Prateik Babbar, Samir Soni, Amole Gupte and Gulshan Grover.

The story of the movie deals with a gangster Amartya Rao played by John Abraham, who is fearless and can do anything for his family, Amartya gains a lot of respect and fear in peoples eye for himself and rule Mumbai, and later he has to face the fearless cop Vijay played by Emraan Hashmi who can do anything stop Amartya Rao, well who will win in this face-off, and will finally sit on the ruling chair of Mumbai will be shown in the movie.

The screenplay of the movie is poor, there are few scenes which will make you bore and has nothing new to offer, few scenes my look stretched, also the director of the movie is strictly average.

In terms of performances John Abraham has delivered his decent work in the movie, on the other hand, Emraan Hashmi has got few interesting scenes, the actor shines in the movie but in pieces, others like Kajal Aggarwal, Rohit Roy, Anjana Sukhani, Mahesh Manjrekar, Prateik Babbar, Samir Soni, Amole Gupte and Gulshan Grover were decent on their part.

The dialogues can be the USP of the movie, you will get to see some interesting clap-worthy dialogues in the movie, also the BGM of the movie plays well along with the movie.

The positive points of the movie can be Emraan Hashmi, as he got few best scenes but as said he shines in pieces, also the dialogues are something which will grab your attention, the BGM of the movie does enhance your viewing experience.

The negative point of the movie can be the story which falls flat in many ways, the story has nothing new to offer, also the screenplay is very poor due to which your interest level falls at many points and the movie looks dragged, the action sequence at few points does not give justice, the major let down of the movie was the face of between Emraan and John was not shown properly in the movie.

Overall if you love watching Gangster movies and you are a john and Emraan fan you can go for this one.
