MUMBAI: One of the most important Sikh festivals, Vaisakhi is finally here. It’s a festival to enjoy and celebrate as this day marks the New Year or foundation day of the Khalsa community. People all over the world celebrate this festival by wearing new clothes, visiting to Gurudwara , organising langar/Bhandara and by doing bhangara and gidda. Let’s have a look what Our favourite television celebrities have to say on this  auspicious day.

Rajat Verma
Though, I am not a punjabi but I have many punjabi friends and I used to visit the Gurudwara with them every year early morning on this special day and used to organise Bhandara. Due to the Covid situation, celebration have become a challenge but I will make sure to visit Gurudwara and seek blessings. I am also planning to make kadha parshad this time.

Manish Verma
This year, I am visiting Delhi. On the day of Vaishakhi, visiting gurudwara with my whole family to take baba ji blessings is a ritual for me. And we are planning for a family get together as well on this special day

Jagnoor Aneja
Every year  Vaisakhi is celebrated with great pomp and  show in our family , but this year is the second consecutive year where the celebrations are going to be low key. I will be going to the gurudwaare with my family followed by a small Guru ka langar and conclude the day with dinner with family followed by music and dance. Wishing everyone a very very happy vaisakhi.

Rishina Kandhari
Will be celebrating with my family away from the city, the festival is an auspicious beginning of Baisakh and the season of harvesting. Will enjoy the festival before COVID spreads but yes will take precautions and stay safe and will advise the same to everyone.

Pavleen Gujral
Vaisakhi is probably one of the happy festivals that make us believe in the beauty of unity. Celebrations definitely have been curtailed now due to the Pandemic, but we all celebrate the festival with utmost care now. Usually on the day we go to gurudwara , do path and chant religious songs , I guess we all have started celebration the festival at home, I make a point to  always wear Yellow or Kesari combination and make kadha Prasad and enjoy the day with my beloved ones.

Ieshaan Sehgaal
Baisakhi is one of the most popular festivals of India that is celebrated with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm. I think during these tough times where COVID has taken over the whole world, I personally feel that the safety of our people is of utmost importance. It’s best to be home. I feel we should respect the latest lockdown guidelines and within the given Para metres we should do everything we can from spending time with our family to eating all the sweets and delicious food that we make on this festival.
