MUMBAI: Kannada film actor Chiranjeevi Sarja died on June 7, 2020 after suffering a massive heart attack. His friends and family, including Arjun Sarja, Aishwarya Arjun and Ananya took to social media to share pictures of the late actor with heartfelt posts. Ahead of Chiranjeevi Sarja’s death anniversary, his wife Meghana Raj also shared a throwback picture with an emotional post. Chiranjeevi Sarja is survived by his wife and son Jr Chiru.On Chiranjeevi Sarja’s first death anniversary, his uncle Arjun Sarja took to Instagram to share pictures of the two from childhood to adulthood and how they were inseparable. Sharing adorable pictures, he wrote, “It has been a year, but I will miss you for a lifetime Chiru magane.. I hope that constant happy smile never wipes off wherever you are (sic).”
It has been a year since Chiranjeevi Sarja’s sudden demise due to massive cardiac arrest. On his first death anniversary, Arjun Sarja’s daughter Aishwarya Arjun took to Instagram to share a video of the time she spent with Chiranjeevi Sarja and the memories the cousins made. Sharing the video, she wrote, “Forever in our hearts (sic).”
Kannada actor Ananya, who is friends with Chiranjeevi and his wife took to Instagram to share a throwback picture of Chiranjeevi Sarja with his gang of friends. In the post, she wrote, “Things end. But memories last forever. @chirusarja @megsraj @shalinismakeupprofile #itsbeenoneyear #wewillmissyou (sic).”

In a media interaction, Meghana recalled the day Chiranjeevi Sarja died. She said, "The day started off like any normal Sunday. Prerana (Dhruva Sarja’s wife) and I were just outside the house along with Dhruva when my father-in-law called us in saying Chiru had collapsed. We had never seen him like that. He'd lost consciousness and then regained it for a bit."
Instead of waiting for an ambulance, the family decided to rush him the nearest hospital. She added, "When we reached there, the doctors took him to the emergency room and said it was a cardiac arrest. It all happened so quickly."
Meghana then revealed what were Chiranjeevi's last words to her. "All I remember is that in the brief moment that he had regained consciousness at home, he had told me, 'Neen yenu tension togobeda, yenagolla nanige.' (Don't get tensed. Nothing will happen to me). Those were his last words to me," she said.
Chiranjeevi and Meghana got married in May 2018 after a 10-year-long relationship. Meghana was five-months pregnant when Chiranjeevi died. She welcomed their son, Jr Chiru, who is now seven months old, in October 2020.
