Looks like this time the judges didn’t want to take Krushna Abhishek and Sudesh Lahiri home, because it’s not them who won Comedy Circus Maha Sangram but the other talented jodi of Swapnil Joshi and VIP. Fair enough considering Krushna and Sudesh have tasted victory in the past couple of seasons of Comedy Circus, including Teen ka Tadka. While they became the first runners-up, Saloni Daini-Rajiv Thakur-Rashmi Desai came in second.

A source informs, “Salim-Suleiman were the celebrity judges for the finale. Sudesh and Krushna undoubtedly were marvelous like always but Swapnil and VIP were the showstoppers for the day. They had everyone in splits. Surprisingly, Salim too performed and did an act with Swapnil and Bharti Singh. Their act was for the promotion of Indian Idol 5. Salim particularly was in awe of Bharti’s comic timing and talent and couldn’t stop gushing about the act.”
The source adds, “All the evicted participants were back on the show for the grand finale and it was a big affair. Rehman performed with his partner Karishma Tanna and the judges and celebrity guests had a great time.”
We tried contacting VIP, Lahiri and Joshi but they remained unavailable. The finale episode will air on Saturday, 8 May at 10 pm.
