MUMBAI: Anirudh Pathak is bringing a series on the life of Adi Shankaracharya, an Indian philosopher and theologian who consolidated the doctrine of Advaita Vedanta.
The series will most likely star noted Bollywood actor Rajit Kapur reprising the lead role of Shankaracharya. It is slated to launch on one of the leading OTT platforms, Hotstar.
Earlier, we had reported that actor Yashodhan Rana is also a part of the show.

We have exclusively learned that Gulshan Rana has been roped in for the show. Not much is known about his character but he does have a pivoital role.
Gulshan is an Indian film actor, who has worked predominantly in Bollywood. Gulshan has worked in popular movies like Ghost and Mere Gharib Nawaz. The actor's previous film to hit the theatres was Ghost in the year 2012.
The project has been in the pipeline for quite some time now. However, we hear that finally the project is on floors, and the cast is expected to shoot some parts in the beautiful locales of Kerala.
