MUMBAI: Ruhaanika Dhawan, a familiar and much-adored face in the television industry, rose to fame at a young age through her role as Ruhi Bhalla in Ekta Kapoor’s hit series Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.
Her heart-warming on-screen bond with Divyanka Tripathi, who played the beloved Ishima, made her a household name and earned her a loyal fan following.
Since the conclusion of the show, Ruhaanika has taken a step back from the limelight, focusing primarily on her education. However, she recently delighted fans by recounting a touching and unexpected reunion with her former co-star Divyanka Tripathi.

In an exclusive chat with TellyChakkar, Ruhaanika shared the story of how the chance encounter unfolded. “It was during Diwali. I was heading to a family friend’s Diwali party and needed to pick up a gift. I stopped by a well-known shop in Lokhandwala. I hadn’t even stepped inside when my mum called and urged me to come in immediately. When I did, I was stunned to see Divyanka di—my Ishima—there!”
She continued, “Everyone in the shop paused when they saw us together. It was a complete coincidence, but such a magical moment. We hadn’t planned it at all, but the video of our reunion went viral and the love we received was overwhelming.”
There’s no doubt that the emotional connection between Divyanka and Ruhaanika, both on and off screen, continues to touch the hearts of fans. Their spontaneous reunion served as a nostalgic reminder of the cherished bond shared by Ishima and Ruhi, a duo still remembered fondly by audiences to this day.
