Sonam Kapoor, will soon start shooting for her father’s (Anil Kapoor) remake of the Rekha-starrer <em>Khoobsurat</em> that was released in the 80s. The film is to be directed by Shashanka Ghosh who had earlier made films like <em>Waisa Bhi Hota Hai Part II, Quick Gun Murugan</em> and <em>Nyay Anyay</em>.

Sonam Kapoor, will soon start shooting for her father’s (Anil Kapoor) remake of the Rekha-starrer Khoobsurat that was released in the 80s. The film is to be directed by Shashanka Ghosh who had earlier made films like Waisa Bhi Hota Hai Part II, Quick Gun Murugan and Nyay Anyay.
But before she commences shooting, Sonam wants to meet Rekha personally. It is very challenging for Sonam to take up the role played by the veteran actress. It is said that Sonam will be spending a lot of time preparing for the role before she starts the shoot; after all it's not easy for anyone to fit into Rekha's shoes.
The entire motive is that Sonam wants to understand the character well and take Rekha's advice on how to go about it.
The original that was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee starred Rekha, Ashok Kumar, Dina Pathak and Rakesh Roshan among others.
