Mickkie Dudaaney, who plays the villain, Yuvraj Goenka in Star's afternoon show Saarthi has been roped in for CID on Sony because (believe it or not) he resembles Bollywood hottie John Abraham!
This detective serial had been hunting for a John look-alike as the role demanded the actor's motorbike escapades ala Dhoom. And the similarities don't end with their appearances. Incidentally, Mickkie and John share the same birthday, i.e. 17th December!

"This is my second episodic appearance on CID, and I am all charged up
for this one," says this 23-year-old daredevil actor who did a stunt of jumping from the balcony of a second storey to the hall in an earlier episode of CID.
So, here's hoping Micckie gets the same taste of success as John has on the big screen!
A convincing Casanova act!
How would you judge if a person is a good actor - by his convincing portrayal of the role, of course! And that's what Ashish Kapoor's brilliant performance as Dheer Kunwarsa of Saat Phere, did to him, although it worked against him!
Remember the wayward and errant ghar-jamai's liaison with Jumma, the maid of the house? Ashish Kapoor seems to have portrayed it so realistically that he is without a housemaid for the past one month!
Overheard the bachelor citing this funny anecdote, "Whenever a new bai is sent to be employed in my house, she looks at me and asks 'madam kidar hain?' (where's madam?) and asks for my wife. When I say I am single, she informs 'baad mein aayenge' (she will come later) and disappears never to turn up." As far as the maidservants of his locality go, probably they are too scared to end up as another Jumma!
But in real life the good-looking actor is far from the philandering Dheer Kunwarsa. He does not even have a girlfriend and has ended up being the best friend of all his female co-stars!
Incidentally, Ashish plays Dr.Shekhar in India Calling and we hope there is not a line-up of patients at his doorstep next!
Shweta loves to gossip
The credit for the success of Kasauti Zindagi Kay definitely goes to its lead protagonist Shweta Tiwari aka Prerna. Not just Ekta Kapoor, but even viewers glued to the serial for four long years vouch for her on-screen histrionics and acting abilities.
Shweta's co-stars reveal that the actor has two sides to her personality. On the one hand she's a thorough professional and will go to any extent to perfect her scenes. And this irrespective of her personal equations with a certain Mr Khan or Mr Roy on the sets, which are very strained most of the time. But this is only one part of the story.
On the personal level, it seems the actor has very strong likes and dislikes as far as people go. So, while Shweta talks to very few of them on the sets, she loves to gossip with her pals. Often times while she's in her make up van she jabbers away about all things under the sun.
So next time you walk in on the sets of Kasauti, you know what Shweta will be up to! And you will know where she will be if there is no shot being taken!
Kiran Dubey is multi -tasking !
Looks like Kiran Dubey is back from her sabbatical. The actor who was last seen in Sony's Yeh Meri Life Hai, has now made her comeback in Sahara One's Suno…Har Dil Kuch Kehta Hai, where she plays a rather snooty sis-in-law Vibha.
So, what was the pretty actor busy doing all these months? She says, "there's definitely lots in my life apart from acting. Earlier on, I was into manufacturing bottles. In my free time, I also like to paint and make gift articles. By the end of the year I might hold an exhibition or even love to open a gift shop. This is not for monetary reasons but since I feel it's an ideal way to establish a lovely link between people and those whom they love. Apart from this, I am also very excited about an upcoming music video that I am doing."
From TV serials to music album, manufacturing bottles to gift articles, this gal sure knows how to multi-task.
Karan's TV past !
An established name in Bollywood circles, Karan Johar has successfully delivered hit pe hit including the recent much talked about Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. And he's also cast the same spell on television with his celeb chat show on Star One, Koffee With Karan. But hey, this was not his maiden innings on the small screen!
We take you a jog down memory lane. During his school days this genius director had acted in Anand Mahendroo's sci-fi serial Indradhanush, wherein he essayed the role of a fat boy, Dodo. Co-incidentally Akshay Anand (of Saat Phere fame) played the protagonist in the same show.
Well Karan, though your acting stint went unrecognized, your dreams have definitely been realized big time. And yes, we all look forward to the second season of your koffee konversations!
