In an intriguing conversation with the charming Bhavya Sachdeva, we took a different route apart from knowing more about Chandrachur, we decided to know more about Bhavya... Here's what he had to say:

Talking about the personal front, if not acting what were your initial plans?

There could have been a time as a young student wherein I must have fantasized about different careers but somewhere in my heart, I knew that I could act. It was after my 10th Standard when I realized that I wanted to work on my potential as an actor. A week after I finished my 12th I moved to Mumbai to become an actor. I can confidently say, upon growing up acting had always been my initial career plan.

In an industry where most actors are from other states of the country, are there any biases that you ever faced?

If we are specifically talking about biases based on region then no.

Personally, I have never suffered because of being from another state. Of course, if our native region is reflected in our accent and limits us from playing a character in any way then it will naturally be considered a con at times (unless the production wants exactly that accent/culture). Other than that if one can act well, I really don’t think it matters where that actor comes from.

How important is it for an actor to have a plan B in terms of professional security?

I think it totally depends from person to person. It is important for us to understand that someone could have a Plan B for multiple reasons and vice versa. Plan B could ensure constant financial inflow, a comfort for the actor in terms of commercial stability, a plan of passion/hobby, family business, etc. I strongly believe it is not our place to comment whether having a Plan B is important or not.  If we are just talking about me, as of right now I don’t have a Plan B in terms of professional security as I don’t want any other field to fall back on, I have set a goal for myself and I want to go deeper in that profession.

It is always a pleasure to know the opinions of the adored actor Bhavya Sachdeva on matters apart from his stellar character Chandrachur.
