MUMBAI: Five years ago, our Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a sudden announcement that sent the whole country into a state of shock and chaos as the old currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 were abolished from midnight November 8, 2016. The announcement sent every citizen into a frenzy with people lining up in banks for miles and hours just to exchange their currency notes. It also brought out a lot of black money hiding in the country, and today on the fifth anniversary of that day, Vishesh Bhatt unveiled the trailer of a hilarious take on the incident with his upcoming film Cash.

Starring Amol Parashar, Smiriti Kalra, Kavin Dave and Gulshan Grover, the film depicts a hilarious fictional story of a group of people who set out to cash in on the opportunity by starting a Notebandi startup. A comedy of chaos, the trailer promises a tale of bellyaching laughs due to the confusion and incidents that these three people embark upon once they start with their business.
The trailer sees Amol as a blue-eyed boy with dreams of being the Elon Musk of India with Kavin and Smiriti playing his business partners. Gulshan Grover is seen as a powerful figure whose money the trio had taken to convert from black to white, and the film follows them as they get sucked into this vortex trying to save themselves from him while also being chased down by a police officer as well who is aiming to complete his target of confiscating Rs 100 crore.
Set to start streaming from November 19, Cash is produced by Vishesh Bhatt and directed by Rishabh Seth.
