MUMBAI: Krip Suri has been a part of the industry from a long time now.

After his TV show, Jeet Gayi Toh Piya Morey, ended in 2018, the actor’s career hit a lull. There came a point when he had made up his mind to quit the industry and leave the city. However, a few rounds of introspection prompted him to revoke his decision. Now, he is all set to return to TV with the mythological show, Baal Shiv, in which he will play a negative character.

He said, “This show will mark my second innings. I am positive about the new phase in my career. TV industry mein roz naye actors aate hain. Apart from a good performance, there are a lot of factors that govern the longevity of an actor’s career. We are replaceable. Jo dikhta hai woh bikta hai. So, the idea was to get back to acting, as I was missing in action. I didn’t want to go on a break or sit at home without work.”

Talking about the phase when he struggled to get work, he shares, “The bad period started mid-2017. I approached everyone for work, but nothing worked in my favour. I would cry alone during this difficult phase. My savings dried up. In fact, there was a time when I thought of giving up everything, quitting the industry and leaving the city. But I realised that I am a fighter and I came here with a dream. So, I stayed back. I want my daughter to know that her father didn’t give up when she grows up.”
