Protagonist in Rubi replaced

It’s been just a few months since the show launched and it has now to face a major hurdle. Just as viewers were getting acquainted with the on-screen actors of the show the lead actress of 9X’s Rubi Swasti Sinha has been replaced. Reports have confirmed that the actress is very unwell and will currently not be in a position to shoot any further. The actress who has replaced her is Melanie. She was last seen in Woh Rehne Wali Mehlon Ki where she played a parallel lead. According to our source from the show, “Swasti has been working very hard on the show but of late she has been diagnosed with a serious ailment and she has been advised by her doctor to avoid any kind of stress and work atleast for the time being.” When contacted Swasti confirmed the news and said, “Yesterday was the last day of my shoot. It is a little disappointing to leave such a good show and a great team like this. I was getting good response from the viewers of Rubi. But I can’t go against my doctor’s advice who has asked me to take complete bed rest for six months.” Rajesh Chaddha, the head of operations, BAG Films remained unavailable for the comment.
