MUMBAI: With several critically acclaimed films in her bag, Taapsee Pannu has established herself as a talented and dependable actor. She has earned accolades for her performance in films including Shoojit Sircar’s Pink, Anubhav Sinha's Thappad, and Akarsh Khurana’s Rashmi Rocket to name a few.
Talking about Rashmi Rocket, the sports film features Taapsee Pannu in the role of Rashmi Virah Chibber (Rashmi Rocket), an Indian track and field athlete.
The actress worked hard to get into the skin of Rashmi Rocket. Needless to say, Taapsee Pannu won over the hearts of the film buffs with her amazing portrayal.

However, days before the release of the film’s trailer, Taapsee was criticized for looking masculine in one of the film’s stills. Trolls called her ‘not enough of a woman’.
While trolls criticized her look, Taapsee Pannu took it in a positive way.
During an interview with a leading daily, the actress said that they actually gave her a promotional strategy. “Those trolls gave me a promotional strategy on a platter. They didn’t even realise what hit them. It was like you struck gold, I was jumping with excitement seeing that reaction to my picture. Then when the trailer came out, I reacted that if you throw lemon at me, I’ll make lemonade out of it.”

Directed by Akarsh Khurana and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Neha Anand and Pranjal Khandhdiya, the sports film Rashmi Rocket, which deals with gender test, premiered on 15 October 2021 on ZEE5.
