Anupam Kher wants a novel to be penned based on his 1984 film, Saraansh

Anupam Kher feels that someone should come up with a novel based on his 1984 hit film Saraansh. "I think a novel on Saraansh should come up. It will make a great story... as it is about the relationship between parents and their son. It will be a good story to read in novel format," Kher observes. Saaransh was a story of an old Mumbai-based Maharashtrian couple coming to terms with the death of their only son who is killed in a mugging incident in New York, The film marked the screen debut of Anupam Kher.
