MUMBAI: Deshna Dugad the young actress became a household name with her role in ‘Mariam Khan: Reporting Live’ and has been ever so present in front of ours screen and the showbiz. Deshna has since done a myriad of different roles and keeping in mind that she is just 13 years old.
The Talented young star has been roped in for season 3 of Criminal Justice as Exclusively reported by TellyChakkar earlier this month.

The child actress who started her career has with the show Bal Krishna has earlier worked in movies like Khaali Peeli and Thugs Of Hindostan. In Thugs of Hindostan, she was seen sharing screen space with Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, and Katrina Kaif.
She has also participated in modeling for a calendar shoot and kids' fashion show. Deshna also played important roles in the serial Kesari Nandan, Mariam Khan – Reporting Live, Siddhi Vinayak, and Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3.
We spoke to the ‘Mariam’ star about her journey so far and exploring different mediums like movies, OTT, and TV at such a young age, here’s what she had to say:
You have experimented with almost all the mediums of entertainment. How has that experience been?
“Yes, I have worked in almost every format be it TV, movies like Thugs or Khali Peeli or OTT with Mental hood, some short films or series and serials specially and everything has been so different from each other. Like no two serials were the same, Mariam was different from Baal Krishna and even the two films were so different language-wise. I am glad that I have tried different forms so early on and I don’t have any such boundaries .”
Working with so many Mega Stars who are such talented actors, what have you learned from them?
“I have been lucky to have worked with Amitabh Bachchan Sir in Thugs of Hindostan where I had my scenes with him and he would teach me so many things about the craft of acting, like its the little details that matter so much and how you present them, and every project has been a learning experience in a different way but definitely Bachchan sir And Thugs has been a great one”.
Different Projects require different efforts and come with their own challenges, what are the different challenges you have faced?
There have been some challenges but not too daunting, Like Thugs was physically challenging because I had to ride the horse and had quite the bit of action in it whereas for ‘Khali Peeli’ language was a barrier to get it to spot on because I am from Indore and to speak in proper Mumbai local language with an accent took me a little time to get used to. But because I love challenges I think that is what I like about doing different things.”
How do you manage your time between working and studying, because work does take a lot of your time?
Yeah, Studies are still a big priority for me because I am in my formative years and because acting is my job and I have fun doing it, But I never want to put my studies behind so I manage time to do it”.
Deshna is currently prepping for Criminal Justice 3.
