MUMBAI: Versatile Actress Delnaaz Irani needs no introduction. Being part of the industry for more than a decade now, Delnaaz Irani has outshined in the various roles she portrayed to date. She plays Goli Bua aka Kiran (Hero’s Aunt and Big Role) in Star Plus’ upcoming show 'Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey'

In a chat with TellyChakkar, Delnaaz spoke brief about her daily routine, agenda for 2022 and more.

Experts:

Tell us about your daily work and personal life routine?

Being the woman in the family, there is a lot of work that happens even post my shoot hours. And personally, I enjoy my walks, my meditation, and my yoga. I am also very spiritual so my prayers are a must. On a week off, I relax at home and then meet up with friends along with Percy as I love socializing. Shooting for 12-13 hours every day gets you quite drained but Percy (my Husband) and I always make sure to blow off some steam by catching up in between our daily schedules.

How do you manage to bring balance to your work and personal life?

I believe it is extremely important to maintain a balance between your personal and professional life. I do take my breaks. I have never been a person who works for 30 days in a month. Even between shows or movies, I have always made sure I take a break before hopping onto another show and I have beautifully managed the balance since the past 30 years that I have been around in the industry. This balance keeps me going.

How does it feel to shoot in the new normal?

It has all gotten pretty normal these days. Though I for one am extremely particular about everybody wearing masks on the sets and sanitizing my room regularly. I always have my wet tissues and soaps around me. Though now, the situation is much better with everybody being fully vaccinated but as it’s a workplace, I think it is essential to still follow all protocols as they were.

Do you still feel nervous before shooting a huge or important sequence?

Yes, I do. I think it is extremely good to have that nervous energy around right before shooting a huge sequence because if you are not, then you are extremely overconfident and nothing good has ever come out of being overconfident. I like the butterflies in my stomach right before an important scene as that keeps me going and helps me do better.

How do you keep yourself positive and motivated during this trying phase?

I think you have to be in that kind of positive frame of mind in life in order to be positive and motivated through and through. Luckily, I have surrounded myself with people who want to see me succeed and be happy and that helps immensely. Also, I am a very happy person in general and love to generously spread it around as well. Lastly, my God and my dad up there are forever showering their blessings on me which keeps me going.

What is your agenda for 2022?

My only agenda for the coming year is for Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey to be a massive blockbuster and from 2022, we manage to take it to 2023, so on and so forth.
