Anushka’s Clean Slate Filmz, which is an Indian production house, will release eight films and web series on streaming sites, Netflix and Amazon. Not only this, but the production house has also targeted some others platforms for the tie-up and has planned to push out content in the next 18 months, the studio's 37-year-old co-founder, Karnesh Ssharma, told Bloomberg.
Karnesh Ssharma, who is Anushka Sharma’s brother, declined to provide a full list of the platforms before they were officially announced.
As per the reports, a Netflix spokesperson confirmed the OTT platform will be releasing three upcoming productions with Anushka’s Clean Slate Filmz. However, Amazon didn't comment.
The pandemic due to the novel coronavirus shutdown cinemas and film shoots across the country. However, the release roster is the latest sign that film production is recovering after being crippled by the financial and logistical disruption unleashed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
For the future, Clean Slate Filmz is gearing up to release Anushka Sharma’s upcoming film Chakda 'Xpress, the thriller series, Mai, and the drama film, Qala.
