Its gripping storyline and mind-blasting twists keep the audience glued to their screens. Fans and viewers have connected to Anupamaa so deeply that they couldn't afford to miss even a single episode of the show.

Apart from the fire striking duo Anuj and Anupamaa, we have witnessed a lot more changes in Kavya too. We got in touch with the beautiful Madalsa Sharma to know about her character and more:
Kavya has seen a major change in her character and now she is returning to the old self, how has it been as a journey for you?
Now that it's been a while playing Kavya, I have gotten into the skin of Kavya so deeply that I can feel each and every emotion she relates to. Madalsa can relate to Kavya in numerous instances as it becomes like understanding a woman's pain. I feel Kavya's transition right from the beginning to the current track, from being someone so independent who made her career and life on her own and now coming to a phase where you get so submissive for the person you love soo much, putting your self-respect to stake. But then comes back to the understanding that this is making her lose her self-respect and dignity. Now that Kavya is bouncing back, she needs to feel secure about her finances and life. She shouldn't change so much for someone who doesn't even deserve it.
As Madalsa, I am very proud of Kavya. A girl like Kavya is soo much needed in today's world. I received soo many responses that how inspiring the character is and the way she reacts and the things she is made up of, she portrays how to strike a balance between professional and personal lives. When you get to characters that inspire the viewers is really important.
It is often seen on Television that women who are career-oriented are often portrayed in the negative shade while your character has all the shades, what is your take?
That is the difference between the shows that have been going on in the past and Anupamaa, if Kavya comes across as negative, people also understand that there is a grey shade in everybody, it comes out natural. That's the myth that Anupamaa is breaking with the show, that career could go hand in hand.
When you see Kavya talking about the importance of Individuality and self-care, she stands out, people understand she isn't wrong. She has been mutually in a relationship, gotten married and was brought into a house where the in-laws are orthodox and the ex-wife is not let gone off. They are still in awe of her, anybody in her situation would take a stand for themselves. So if Kavya is looking negative, a few episodes ahead they will justify the reason behind Kavya's behaviour. Our writers make it so beautiful and justify the narrative and situation for the character.
My take on it is that the team creates the scenes and character soo beautifully that it feels amazing to portray the character. You really enjoy playing the character and make you live it with their writing. Once your character is justified, you feel that it is bang on.
Who is your closest person on the set?
Well, everyone is close to me, it has been a while we have been a part of Anupamaa, now it is more like family. If I had to choose one then I have been closest to Anagha on set, we chill around a lot, we share much more than friendship. Sudhanshu ofcourse, from day one I had maximum scenes with him. He is a great actor and a great person too. So yes, everybody is really adorable.
