MUMBAI: Vikrant Massey will be next seen in the film Love Hostel. The film is directed by Shanker Raman and produced by Gauri Khan. In an interview with Tellychakkar.com, the actor talks about his character in the film, experience of working with Bobby Deol and Sanya Malhotra. He also speaks about the characters he is looking forward to.
Vikrant Massey on his character and the film?
To begin with, I play the character of Aayush who is a regular guy. But he has too many complications in his life. The film is based on the North Indians. It is a love story about two different people who are on the run. The story deals with these two people, it's about their struggle and how they survey fighting with all the odds of society. It is a film which will make you think as the audience and also you will enjoy watching it on the screen.
Vikrant Massey on Shanker Raman, Bobby Deol, and Sanya Malhotra?
I had an incredible time working with Shanker Raman. He is like a mentor to me. I am glad that I got a chance to work with him. If life gives me another chance I will surely work with him. Because he is the wises man I have met.
It was a fanboy moment for me to work with Bobby Deol. We have seen him in the movies like Gupt, Ajinabee, and Soldier and also in the web series Aashram. So I am glad that I am getting the share this project with him. I mean we don’t have many scenes together in the film but off-camera we had an amazing time talking about films.
Working with Sanya Malhotra was a wholesome experience. She is one of the best actresses to work with. We have great chemistry on screen. I hope to work with her in the future as well.
Vikrant Massey on the roles he is looking forward to?
I am looking forward to working as an antagonist. I want to play a character that is full-on Hindi cinema villain type. I have been reading a few scripts which are on the same line but I have not zeroed down to anything yet. As an actor, I don’t want to bracket myself. So I am still learning and still understanding life at the large. I am open to taking on all types of Challenges that will come my way. I believe in taking risks and coming out of my Comfort Zone. I will only grow in my craft if I am able to break my comfort zone and play the characters which are unusual.
