MUMBAI: After Janhvi Kapoor, Boney Kapoor and Sridevi's younger daughter Khushi Kapoor's Bollywood debut has been much awaited. Speculations of her doing a film with Amitabh Bachchan's grandson Agastya Nanda started doing the rounds ever since they were spotted together for dance rehearsals. Thereafter, reports suggested that Khushi and Agastya will make their debut along with Shah Rukh Khan's daughter Suhana Khan in Zoya Akhtar's film which is a Hindi adaptation of Archies.
Boney Kapoor has recently confirmed his daughter Khushi Kapoor’s acting debut with Zoya Akhtar.
He revealed that Khushi will begin shooting from April. He said, “She will start shooting for her film in April. Can’t tell you more, you will know more about it soon.” He also revealed that whenever his kids need him he’s always there for them. He has been giving his input too but he believes that final decisions should be theirs.
Zoya said in a statement that she is ‘super excited’ to be directing The Archies. “It was a large part of my childhood and teenage years. The characters are iconic and globally loved, which is also why I am a little nervous. I have to make sure the film stokes the nostalgia of a generation that grew up on the comic and yet resonates with the young adults today,” she said.
