MUMBAI: Popular television face Riya Deepsi is all set to make her mark on OTT and in Bollywood. She is popularly known for playing the character of Gandhari in the show Mahabharat. The actress was last seen in the web series Mombian – Gul & Sakshi Ki Pyaaari Si Love Story. 

Team TellyChakkar got an exclusive chance to interact with the actress where she spoke about facing fake casting directors. She also spoke about the actors and the directors with whom she would like to work in the future.

Tell us did you ever come across a fake casting director?

Yes, I did, after my show, Mahabharat got over. I got a call for the audition for a new show from a production house.  The story was about two sisters and I was supposed to play the elder sister. So I went for the audition, I did my look test, and after that, I even shot with the heroes of the show. After some days, the other girl called me and said that someone else is playing my role. I got the shock of life when the production house replaced me overnight. Then after a few days, I got to know that the other girl also got replaced from the show.  

Tell us about the actors with whom you would love to share the screen?

Speaking about the actors, Riya Deepsi said, I want to work with Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor. I am a huge fan of Ranbir Kapoor. I really love his films. Well, Hrithik is my childhood crush and Ranbir is my teenage crush. Also, I really want to work with Ayushmann Khurrana because I really admire his work and the choice of films he does on screen. 

Tell us about the directors with whom you would like to work in the future?

Talking about her the directors with whom she would like to work in the future, Riya Deepsi said, I want to work with Imtiaz Ali, I want to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Also, I want to work with Anurag Basu and the list goes on. So basically I want to be a part of all the big directors’ movies in the future.
