MUMBAI: Actor and singer Abhilash Kumar, who is still recalled for his stint in Best Friends Forever and Laut Aao Trisha, is coming up with a new music video titled Rooh.
In chat with TellyChakkar, Abhilash spoke briefly about the video, his aspirations as an actor, and more.
He shared, “The song is called Rooh and it's being released by Bollyframe. The song is sung by my brother Abhijeet Singh. We shot this video in Dubai. It was my mother's dream to hear this song because it was my brother's first song as a singer. But due to her demise, she couldn't watch it, so this song is a tribute to her and has been presented in her name, "Malti Devi." The song is directed by Sajid - Shahid, and Nidhi Verma is cast opposite me.

Are you looking out for television shows as well? “No, I'm focusing and creating on my single music albums. Last year, I signed one song "Mere mehboob qayamat hogi," which was released by Saregama. It’s been my hobby since childhood and my father was a professional singer as well, and my brother and sister also sing. So, I thought I could make this hobby my profession as well. I am happy to strike a balance between both.”
He added, “I'm looking out for web shows and working on an upcoming project. I will be coming up with at least 12-14 songs by this year. After Rooh, all the songs will feature me and will be sung by me.”
