MUMBAI:Colors is all set to roll out a new show Spy Bahu, starring Sana Sayyad and Sehban Azim in the lead roles. The story of Spy Bahu is lead-centric and will depict the love story of a detective and a terror-suspect. Spy Bahu is bankrolled by Ashvini Yardi under her production house Viniyard Productions.
TellyChakkar got in touch with veteran actress Bhavana Balsavar at the launch of the show. The thespian spoke briefly about her role, transition of television, and more…
Could you tell us about your roles in Spy Bahu? “I'm the mother of Sejal, but she isn't my biological daughter in the show because we've adopted her. We've brought us Sejal as a typical Jamnagari girl and she's a goofball! So, my character revolves around protecting Sejal.”

What changes and transitions have you witnessed throughout your journey in television? “We had no time in those days, but we used to work on our characters for weeks. But now, we don't have the luxury of time. The world is faster, so they need daily episodes. Now, even the imperfect shots are moved forward and corrected on the table. Moreover, the scripts are deteriorating. That's why I signed this show because the script is really different, and the show has been shot in Kashmir in live locations unlike mainstream TV shows.”
Is there any show that you like a lot apart from Spy Bahu? “I haven't seen anything for a long time, but I watched Gangubai Kathiawadi and I loved Alia Bhatt's performance in it.”
What kind of role would you like to be a part of apart from mothers and grandmother role? “As an actor, I want to do every role, but as I'm a huge fan of Sridevi I would like to do everything she has done, regardless of her age.”
