MUMBAI : The son of actors Sunil Dutt and Nargis, Sanjay Dutt made his acting debut in Rocky (1981), which was directed by his father. The crime thriller Naam (1986) proved to be a turning point in his career, which was followed by a series of commercially successful films in that decade, including Jeete Hain Shaan Se (1988), Mardon Wali Baat (1988), Ilaaka (1989), Hum Bhi Insaan Hain (1989) and Kanoon Apna Apna (1989).

The actor carved his own place in the industry, but he was also part of some unfortunate controversies. However, keeping aside the dark phase of his life the actor had said that he’s happy with his career graph. He also felt that B-town has changed a lot, which upset him.

Back in 2011, Sanjay Dutt had said that the changing attitude of his industry colleagues makes him sad. Speaking with IANS, the actor said, “A lot of changes have taken place in the industry and I sometimes feel very sad about most of them. When we were introduced to the industry, there used to be competition among actors, but there used to be more respect.”

Sanjay Dutt shared, “There used to be more togetherness. The film industry used to be a family. Now that is not the case. It has become a dirty game now. I’m not a part of that game, I do my own stuff, but I have noticed that and it is very sad.”

Talking about not being part of any Bollywood camps, the actor said, "I’m not here to mend things or break things. I consider every actor my brother. I still consider this industry my family. I don’t believe in camps and all that."

Sanjay recently shared the release date of his next film Shamshera. The film features Ranbir Kapoor as the male lead. The period drama will release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on July 22 this year. Besides Ranbir and Sanjay, the film will also star Vaani Kapoor.

Sanjay was last seen in Sadak 2 with Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapoor. Apart from Shamshera, he is also awaiting the release of action drama K.G.F Chapter 2. Sanjay also has Prithviraj in the line up, that will also feature Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar.
