MUMBAI: Ritu Vashistha is currently seen in Sony TV's popular drama series Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2.
The actress who is known for starring in projects like Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon, Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, Do Dil Ek Jaan, Haar Jeet, and Vishwaas is seen playing the role of Meetu in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2.
Ritu's character is quite interesting and she is being lauded for her performance in the popular drama series.
TellyChakkar got in touch with Ritu who spoke about the show and much more.
Your journey in the show as Meetu is being lauded by the viewers. How do you feel about being a part of such a great show?
I am loving it. I love to work with the team as the actors are wonderful. The production is also simply great. I am also enjoying my character, it's lovely. I also get to do a lot of improvisations. The makers have given me the freedom to mold my character in my way. I am the only comedy element in the show.
When you were offered this character what were your thoughts?
No, I never thought about it much. I said because of the show and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain season 1 was already a huge hit. When they told me about my character, I was quite happy as I love doing comedy. I have done a lot of comedy shows in the past. Also, it had a grey shade. So, it was a challenge for me. I thought I should try something new.
If you got a chance to swap your character with someone from the cast, whose character would you like to play?
I would like to play Kanupriya Ji's role as it is a very mature role and something really different for me. I think she is a fabulous actor and I would like to do something like that as it is very different and also very challenging.
